Aims & Scope

Scope of the Journal: is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to exploring the intersection between neurodevelopmental processes, environmental factors, addiction, and climate change. The journal aims to advance knowledge in how environmental exposures affect brain development, function, and disease, with a particular focus on addiction and the role of climate change in influencing neurological health. This journal focuses on exploring the intricate relationships between neurodevelopmental disorders, environmental health, and addiction. It delves into the genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors influencing conditions such as autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities, while examining the effects of environmental pollutants—like heavy metals and endocrine disruptors—on brain health across different life stages. The journal also investigates how early-life exposures, including prenatal drug exposure, contribute to addiction susceptibility and neurobiological mechanisms. It highlights the impact of climate change on neurological health, particularly mental health, cognition, and neurodegenerative diseases. Furthermore, the journal explores how environmental factors influence neural development, neuroplasticity, and epigenetic modifications, alongside the role of public health policies in reducing harmful environmental exposures. It also covers studies on neuroinflammation caused by environmental stressors and its effects on neurodevelopment and addiction, with a focus on how early environmental exposures and climate change-induced stress contribute to addiction and mental health issues.
